Installation Overview
Prepare Skate
Remove old laces and prepare the surface of your skate tongue with the provided cleaning pad.
Ankle Brackets
The ankle brackets provide a seamless and reliable tightening connection between the dial and the skate.
Tightening System
Secure the TwistLace system to the skate. Attach the mount to the skate tongue, using the double-sided tape. Ensure the wire runs straight and parallel from the dial to the top of the ankle bracket.
Wiring
TwistLace features a silicone-coated Dyneema® SK99 wire. Feed the wire through the designated eyelets as shown in the video. The wire should pass through only four eyelets on the skate.
Stretch Laces
TwistLace features stretch laces. These laces enhance foot lockdown, protect the wire system, provide a comfortable fit, and maintain a classic lace-up look.
Test & Tie off
Before stepping onto the ice, test the system by pressing the dial down and turning it clockwise to tighten. Ensure you can comfortably insert and remove your foot from the skate before attaching aglets.
